Travelling maremmas

Nellie looking her best

Nellie looking her best

Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas from all over the world. Mummy was telling me and Nellie that she has heard of the existence of a group of maremma owners, over in Palmerston North that met regularly to walk their dogs and socialise. Imagine that!!! Lots and lots of large snowy white maremmas all frolicking and leaping about together. Me and Nellie can’t wait to join in. Only problem is that Palmerston North is an hour away by car and as loyal readers know Me and Nellie get car sick, so mummy is a little concerned about our ability to travel. She is waiting to hear back from someone over there.  Meanwhile, do you like mummy’s photos.  Aren’t they so good, especially the ones of Me and Nellie.

Below is a photo of a New Zealand native wood-pigeon taken eating berries in one of our holly trees.

It was a beautiful sunny Mangamahu day when this photo was taken. The pigeons in the summer time get so fat that they can barely fly above the house.

See how cold it can get in sunny Mangamahu.  Off Me and Nellie go, for mummy is out in the garden and We must supervise her.  She is starting to plant garlic because soon it will be the shortest day.  Love Jasper and Nellie.

  1. O how exciting your very own walking group!!! You must go, the more you travel in the car machine, the more you’ll get used to it 🙂

Our human has worked with many dogs that get car sick, they all go over it! Just need a good tarpaulen in the back 🙂

    Lots of slobbers,
    Lexi and Jasper the Danes
