Muddy, Muddier, Muddiest maremmas

Nellie in the sunshine, looking muddy

Nellie in the sunshine, looking muddy

Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas.  It have been very quiet, here in the sunny Mangamahu valley.  No more volcanic activity, I am pleased to report.  Just more and more rain.  Me and Nellie are not allowed inside when We are muddy.  It is lonely sitting outside on the deck, while our family are inside.  Thankfully it has not been very cold. Last night daddy relented and let Me and Nellie inside.  He said he was sick of hearing the pathetic noises I make when I am left outside.   Love Jasper and Nellie.  We have to go and follow mummy around the garden.  She is going to prune some more roses today.

  1. Best thing about maremmas is that all that mud just dries and falls off. We have similar photos! (I am mum to MIA the Maremma in Brisbane). You can imagine what she looked like during the 2011 floods!

Hi Jasper and Nellie its nice to meet you we have never seen Maremmas Dogs before. You are very pretty and large like we are. Our Mom used to have a Great Pyrenees before us as she thinks you look a lot like her. Thank you for stopping by our blog. We will be back to read some more about you 🙂

    • Thank you for your kind comments. Me and Nellie try to be the best maremmas We can be. Mummy says sometimes We can be very trying. Love Nellie and Jasper the two bestest maremmas in all the land

I don’t know what bipeds have against mud.

    • Me and Nellie do not understand too, what they have against mud. It is not our fault it has been raining for days on end and that Me and Nellie like to romp and frolick around. It is not as if it is easy to clean the tiled floor in the kitchen when We come inside with our muddy paws. Love Nellie and Jasper.

  4. Ahhh…muddy paws and bellies…the best feeling in the world 🙂
