More rain………

Rain, rain, go away
Come again some other day
We want to go outside and play
Come again some other day

Greetings loyal readers and fellow maremmas.  At the risk of sounding like a broken record – IT HAS BEEN RAINING AND ME AND NELLIE ARE MUDDY. Mummy said she is sick of dirty, damp dogs and when will it all stop.  This morning she was having a chat with Farmer Austin over the fence about the mud and how slow the grass has been growing. He was telling her that actually the sunny Mangamahu valley was not too wet at all and that there were worse places in New Zealand, like the Hawkes Bay.  Mummy said she was surprised to hear that as the cows were up to their hooves in mud.  As you can see from the photos Me and Nellie are somewhat, slightly grubby.  Again for some reason family will not let Me and Nellie inside. Off Me and Nellie go.  Daddy will be home soon and We must be there to greet him.  Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremmas in the land.

  1. I love the last pic, there’s nothing more cut than a dirty dog lol

  2. I LOVE being muddy. wish I lived near you BOL 🙂

    • No you don’t want to be as muddy and Me and Nellie. It is lonely out on the deck because We are not allowed inside. Also, there was been mention of that word, that dreaded word. Dare I say it “Bath”. Hope not. Me and Nellie do not like water at all, ever!!!

  3. My, my, what muddy maremmas you are! Love the pics. Can’t believe that cows up to their hooves in mud is regarded as “normal”.

    • Farmer Austin was telling mummy that the paddocks are so muddy that the farmers can’t use their quand motor bikes and are finding it very hard to move stock. In some parts of valley, the slopes are so steep and muddy that they don’t even boher with motorised transportation and use horses to do farm work. Me and Nellie have never met a horse, but when I was a small puppy I did met a pig, once. It was very scary. Love Nellie and Jasper, who are still very dirty
