A quiet maremma day

Nellie being cute

Nellie being cute

Greetings loyal readers, It has been very quiet around here lately.  Mummy has been at work, daddy is away and brother and sister are at school.  You will all be glad to hear that Me and Nellie have been on our bestest maremma behaviour.  Mummy says it will not last but she is grateful for the peace and quiet that she is getting at the moment.  For some reason n mummy does not trust Me and Nellie to be good maremmas.  Mummy is enjoying reading other doggy blogs.  She says she is not going to tell Me and Nellie about some of the antics other doggys get up too.  She says she doesn’t want Me and Nellie getting too many new ideas, we can be naughty enough ourselves without any added assistance.

Me and Nellie barking at Farmer Austin when he is over at his shed feeding his cows.

Love Nellie and Jasper.  It is raining again and again and again…….

  1. I like the pic of you and the cow!

    • Thank you. Cows are our friends. We like to play with the cows. Mummy says our games seem very complex. They seem to involve Me and Nellie running up and down the fence line barking at the cows. Two of cow friends have gone away on holiday. Our friend Bubba is on holiday at Farmer Rae’s orchard and he has been joined by our cow friend Forest. Daddy says Bubba is a now a “Babaque” but Me and Nellie do not know what that means. Soon after Forest went on holiday Daddy came home with a big bag of bones and some boxes. He has been sharing the big bag of bones with Me and Nellie. Soon Forest and Bubba will come home. Love Nellie and Jasper.

    That is better.

The top photograph where you are rolling and having fun reminded me of Zac. He used to love rolling on his back on the carpet and would make grunts and growling sounds. Sigh…. I miss that.
Wow! You’re almost as big as the cow!
I think I would enjoy barking at the farmer though. The Producer got embarrassed when I barked at the guy who came to service the heating today. I didn’t bark when he came to the door, I barked after he’d been inside for about 30 minutes!!! Well, what can I say? I’d forgotten someone else was in the house 🙂
Sorry about the rain. We have sun today – ’bout time.

    Send some rain here!

  5. Me and Mum love the photos – Nellie definitely is cute and you are so handsome! We thought the video was funny, too. I very rarely bark, so it’s very peaceful around here. It’s been raining here again, as well… 😦

Big (virtual) WOOFS from Solo 🙂

  6. Your mummy makes a really good point. I don’t read other doggies’ blogs to Zak the miniature schnauzer either as he can get into more than enough mischief all by himself! He definitely doesn’t need anyone else giving him any ideas.

  7. Mollie says:

Hi Nellie and Jasper..we liked your video 🙂 you have a huge garden to play in.. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cow..We have loads in the UK 🙂
    Have a great day…..being good.

  8. I’ve seen cows in the field, but mummy wouldn’t let me play with them.
I’m sooo tempted to jump on a plane and come visit you so I can play in your garden!

  9. Me and Nellie are lucky to have such a big play area. Mummy says my play lawn is bigger than their entire section when they were living in the city. Me and Nellie get lots of exercise running around and keepying an eye on mummy and the cows and the neighbours.
