Those large birds.

Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas.  When mummy  drives to work each day, she often sees these big colourful birds out in the paddocks or sitting on fences.  She says she is never quick enough to take a photo, so she got a photo from a place called Google images to show you what she sees.  Sometimes, We see these birds in Farmer Rae’s paddock.  Mummy says there is no way she would want any of them in her garden. She says she has enough trouble from Me and Nellie rampaging through her herbaceous gardens, without any added assistance from a peacock.  Peacocks came into the Mangamahu valley in the 1920’s and along with turkeys have made themselves at home.  They are very noisy and make lots of strange sounds in the early morning.  Love Nellie and Jasper the two bestest maremmas in all the land.

I have always found peacocks to be beautiful birds. I. Never realized they could also be a problem. I am sure you and Jasper can make sure M doesn’t find them in her garden:)

  7. We love peacocks, our neighbor has a couple… my mom loves the peacock sound by night (unfortunately she is the only one who like it, all other neighbors are annoyed) :o)

I love their little feathers sticking straight up on their heads, like a brilliant crown. Maybe they think they’re are royalty and can make as much noise as they want? It might not be very neighbourly though.
