Bye,bye little birdie

See the bird

See the bird

Greeting loyal readers. Mummy was in the kitchen and she could hear this tapping sound. For a long while she could not work out what it was and then she saw it. A little birdie was sitting on the door handle, tapping on the French doors. It took her ages to get a photo of the little birdie. Now, mummy’s knowledge of all things bird related is not very good, but she thinks it might be a finch. Is that right, fellow maremmas? Again she apologises for the quality of the photo. She says one day she must learn how to use the camera. Love Nellie and Jasper.

I’ m not sure what kind of bird that it is but it sure is cute! Barks and licks and love, Dakota

Great pictures! Wish we could help identify the bird but we are floor-focused over here (Cocco oinking and scooping up crumbs and me trying to get them away before he finds them!).

It looks to me like the gold finches we have here. Though this one is a little more orange. The ones in the San Francisco Bay area are bright yellow in the summer and fall season.

Pretty bird but I have no idea what kind it is. Don’t think I have ever seen one like that here. Nice picture of Nellie watching the bird. Hugs

You were good not to bark & scare it off. That’s what I would have done!
