Jacks Back!!

Greeting loyal readers.  Well, for the third night in a row, Jack Frost came to visit.  As you can see from the photos, mummy’s giant  pumpkin plants did not stand a chance.  She says she has some more in reserve on the deck, so all is not lost.

Now, last night I might have been a bit naughty.  While mummy was jabbering on the phone to someone, as well as re-heating some left over curry in a pot on the stove top, I might have accidentally helped myself to some curry out of the pot, when her back was turned.  Boy did she yell at Me.   Something about being a bad maremma. Well, at least it got her off the phone as she had to clean up the mess I made when I knocked the pot off the stove and onto the floor.  For some reason she was not pleased with.  Can’t understand why.  It is not my fault she was too slow in getting My and Nellie’s dinner to Us.  Bad mummy.   Anyway she cannot stay too mad at Me because after all are Nellie and Me not the bestest maremmas in the land.

It’s getting cooler here but it is supposed to. You’re supposed to be kicking Jack out of the area for at least six months.

The people do not always appreciate problem-solving or creativity, do they? Too bad about your snack. I hope you got a few good licks in first!

  3. Haha, quite the commotion. We hope that curry was worth all that trouble!
    Oink oink,
Katie and Coccolino the mini pig

yes you are!!! If left to their own devices our Moms would babble on for hours! Sometimes we have to take matters into our own paws…regardless of the consequences! At least you got her attention and I bet she served you your dinner FAST! Barks and licks and love, Dakota

  5. Bert says:

Well you are right, that is one way to get her off the phone. We are hoping Jack Frost visits us tonight with a few inches of snow too.
    have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Ha! Curry – you must have tough tummies 😀
sorry that Jack is causing the pumpkins so many problems, you could stay on guard and make sure he stays away but that would mean a sleepless night so maybe not 🙂
I’m quite sure no-one could stay angry with you for long, you are the best Maremmas in the land. You’re certainly the best Maremmas I know 🙂

  7. Dougall says:

Totally not your fault. She should have fed you FIRST!!

  8. Well that is right, but you try telling mummy that. Why sometimes in the morning she forgets to give Us our morning dinner until nearly 9 am. The cruelty of it all!!!

  9. Boomdeeadda says:

Hehe bad bad mommy. I can see why it’d be hard to stay mad at you and Nellie, look at that awesome greeting….it must make her soooooo happy.

  10. What good Maremmas you two are – you saved her money by cutting short the phone call, AND you got her to clean the kitchen – very clever. We hope you got your dinners though?

  11. onebluedog says:

Jack killed the delicious pumpkins?! This is terrible! Thank goodness your mom has back up!

And as for the curry, I think you were being very responsible to sort out your own dinner so your mom would have one less thing to worry about. I can’t imagine why she would be angry about that!

  12. Hmmmm. Curry pot on the floor. That was a most creative way to ring that dinner bell!

  13. We hope that was some good curry, and worth being scolded, Bol! Sorry to hear about the plants.
