Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas. It has been very quite here at Chez Jasper. Mummy is at work, sister has disappeared to Wellington, brother is playing computer games and daddy is out at the woolshed.
Nellie was a bit naughty yesterday and went for a walkabout over to Farmer Rae’s kiwifruit orchard. Mummy managed to take a photo of her having a good sniff around his paddock. I, was a good dog and stayed home. Mummy says this only happened because I am too big to get through the fence and couldn’t follow Nellie.
Do you like the photo of mummy’s garlic? She said she had to lift it a bit early because of the hot, humid conditions in the garden and she was afraid that it would rot in the ground. Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest and hottest maremmas in the land.
The garlic may rot but you have protected yourselves from vampires.
These country life pictures are wonderful, especially since we’re looking that them while we listen to the sound of the snowplows on the street outside our window.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
I am enjoying the cold and snow, wish I could send you some, that heat is awful stuff. Glad one of you is behaving!
Nellie looks guilty, lol like a cat prowling somewhere she shouldn’t be unfortunately she is a lot less harder to miss!
Me and Nellie do stand out somewhat when We are roaming around the countryside, with our wavering tails and gleaming white fur, you really can’t miss Us.
Oh it appears that Nellie was in the mood for an adventure! Mom said to tell you that she LOVES garlic!
We never knew where garlic came from, BOL
Benny & Lily
Our sweet Maggie used to do walkabouts, so we know Nellie was just making sure the neighborhood was safe and secure.
Oooh we would love some of that garlic. Looks perfect for a wonderful homemade sauce. Yum!
Oink oink,
Katie and Coccolino the mini pig
Daddy likes garlic, after all he his mummy was Italian. That is one of the reasons they got Me and Nellie, because We are Italian dogs.
Oh Dog! Escape!
Be careful, pups shouldn’t eat garlicness!
You’re such a good dawg Jasper…you wouldn’t do naughty walkabout like Nellie 😉 Mom sez the garlic looks nommy and she’d love to cook with it
oh dear, hard to be sneaky when mummy has such a good camera. I love garlic, in everything. Well maybe not cereal…but most stuff. Happy New Year…..maybe yours is tonight!!!
Yes it is New Years evening here in New Zealand, but as mummy has to work at the museum tomorrow she is going to bed early. Me and Nellie do not care about such activities as New Years evening. As long as We get our evening dinner, at a reasonable time We do not care about such things.
You crack me up. 😀
PS, saw your interview at Rumpy Dog…good stuff.
I guess that means Nellie’s diet is working:-)
Beautiful garlic, I love garlic. Never tried to grow it on my own tho. Have a great day.
