Bounterful harvest

002Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas.  During the winter of 2010 mummy and daddy planted some fruit trees in my play lawn.  Now some of them are starting to bear fruit. As loyal readers know mummy is not one of life’s little housekeepers.  She would rather be gardening than cleaning.  As evident by the number of spider-webs in the hallway.  She has a friend in Wellington who likes to preserve and make jam and sauces.  So, every year mummy sends fruit down to her friend and in return they get lots of yummy things to eat.  This year mummy has been eyeing up the neighbours quince tree down at Ngaturi.  She is hoping for a bumper harvest so that her friend can make lots of quince jam.  Mummy was having a gossip chat with the neighbour at the letterbox about the quinces yesterday.   Love Nellie and Jasper, who are very hot maremmas.

Grapes from the grape vine that is growing over the deck. Mummy says it has triffid like tendancies to take over.

  4. Everything looks so lush and beautiful in your yard! Mostly just wildflowers grow around here in the summer. I try to eat them, but Mom says not to.
