Lazy, summer days

Me!! Such a handsome devil.

Me!! Such a handsome devil.

Greetings loyal readers.  Today, mummy is pleased because it has been raining and this saves her from the tyranny of watering the garden.  It has been very hot and windy here and the grass has becoming very dry and tinderbox like. Thankfully there have been no threat of fire around here, unlike our Australian neighbours who are suffering from terrible bush fires.  Family are starting to eat the first of the produce from the garden.  Lots of beans, courgettes and tomatoes.  Me and Nellie do not care for these things but family seem to like them. Soon I will have been with my family for three whole years. Imagine that!! Mummy has had three years of maremma love and attention.  Love Nellie and Jasper.

Man, we have never seen a sign like that before in our area. They did say one year here, that we should water our mulch around our houses so it does not catch fire.
