Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas.  Tomorrow is the first day of winter here in the southern hemisphere. So far the weather has been  very mild.  Mummy is still picking tomatoes from her garden, so it came as surprise this morning when mummy pulled back the curtains in the kitchen and saw this sight.  Yes, that right a frost.   Don’t worry about Me and Nellie getting cold. We are after all maremmas and We are nice and warm and dry sleeping on the deck on our beds.  Lets hope that there are not too many more frosts this winter.  Me and Nellie do not like our  dainty white paws getting cold and wet.  Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremmas in all the land.

Aw, I love the one of them both on the fence! Hey, send me over some cold weather…please! We are too hot here in Houston!!

  2. two engaging goldens says:

Our “dainty golden paws” are getting quite wet lately with the wet miserable weather. No frost here up on the ridge and our fur also keeps us warm. High Five Paws Honey and Nutty.

  3. Me and Nalle love frost, but we hope you do not have much and your paws stay warm! Woooooowoooooooo! Ku

  4. OOW that looks chilly! Krissy doesn’t seem to feel the cold nearly as much as me – she’s from the South Island and she has a nice thick winter coat. My coat is sleek and un-furry, though, and I don”t like the cold. I’m already sleeping in two fleece coats at nights! Make sure you and Nellie keep your feet nice and warm, Jasper! 🙂

Big WOOFS from Solo and Krissy 🙂

I need an education. I thought the start of winter in the S. H. was around June 20 or 21. What is missing from my understanding?

Very pretty frost though I’m with you about the paws. We don’t really get frosts here. Maybe once or twice but I would not like it!

  9. dina says:

It feels so strange to me that you have winter, when up here it is twenty degrees. Have a fun winter. If you don’t mind me asking, where do you live?

  15. You are fluffy enough to withstand the evil winter cold. I usually have to wear a jacket because of my tiny furs.
