Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas. Yesterday, mummy was out in the woolshed paddock getting some firewood. The weather is supposed to turn nasty and mummy wanted to be prepared by having lots of firewood available. As usual Me and Nellie were there having a good, old romp around the paddock, sniffing all those interesting smells We could find. Then We noticed something in the big old oak tree. Guess what was there, fellow maremmas? There were two male peacocks, sitting high up in the tree. As it was getting dark there were a bit hard to see, but Me and Nellie knew they were there and of course, We had to let mummy (and the rest of the Mangamahu valley) know that they were there by indulging in some doggy barking.
Eventually, the two peacocks flew off into the neighbour’s garden. Mummy says the last thing she wants in her garden are any peacocks. She says she has enough problems in her garden beds with Me and Nellie rampaging through them, squashing all her plants in our wake, without having peacocks as well. Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremmas in all the land.
