More bones

Me getting some love and attention from daddy.

Me getting some love and attention from daddy.

Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas.  Well, winter is certainly here residing in the sunny Mangamahu valley. It has been very cold.   Mummy has been at work for the last few days, so We have been hanging out with daddy.  Mummy is home today and she is muttering something about needing to plant her garlic bulbs and get her tulips in the ground.

Over the weekend, sister and the boyfriend participated in the Wellington half marathon.  Sister took 20 minutes off her first half marathon time and finished 9th out of 35 in her age group.  Congratulations to sister and the boyfriend.

Me and Nellie have been so good that mummy brought Us a special treat of some large bones for Us to have a good old chew on. Off Me and Nellie go. Farmer Rae has arrived and We must be there to greet him.  Mummy says We are wasting our time because he can’t hear Us barking at him, but We don’t care.  Love Nellie and Jasper.

  1. Bones are amazing. I’ve never actually had one, but that’s what I’ve heard. You sure make it look good….

    Love and licks,

You could have improved sister’s time by nipping at her patootie to speed her up.

  3. I so love how the two of you think and I LOVE the expression on your face while you look at your Daddy with love!
Those bones are well deserved and they look delightful!

  4. Zena says:

Oh Nellie & Jasper those are HUGE bones you have! WOW! You must have been really really good to get something that nice! Thanks Mommy for getting you guys such a nice treat!

We love bones but lately we’ve only had smaller ones as our teeth are getting old. We are wondering how long it takes you both to finish them or do you bury them for future savouring? Happy knawing – Nutty and Honey

  7. Well done to sister, she’s obviously got some talent and dedication! Same as the way you and Nellie get stuck into those bones. They’ll keep you warm for Winter, along with your woollie coats. My sookie la las sleep inside with their jumpers on (we have had a very cold snap in the nighttime) but the heating kicks in if it gets below 10 degrees Celsius. Do you think they are over-indulged? They are greyhounds so they have very thin coats, not like you furry guys!!

    Congratulations to sissy

    I’m drooling over that bone!!
