Greetings loyal readers. Now as you all know Me and Nellie are maremmas and therefore, there are certain things that We are not very good at doing. Sometimes our hearing is not the best, especially when mummy wants Us to follow her. Another thing We are not very good at is going for walks on a lead. Brother has been home for the holidays and in his wisdom has decided to take Me and Nellie for walks. While I do not mind getting out and about, Nellie for some reason dislikes the lead and runs away every time it appears. We don’t go very far down the road, but it is lots of fun sniffing new smells and seeing new things. Me and Nellie get all the exercise We need running around our large property, patrolling the fences and making sure everything is OK. Me and Nellie have been very busy undertaking a very Australian activity called walkabout, much to mummy’s annoyance. Love Nellie and Jasper, two very fit maremmas.

Nellie does look a little annoyed on her lead. I am never allowed out without mine. I am a city dog. Sometimes, if I’m naughty, Mom keeps the lead on in the house!! I don’t mind. Close to Mom is my favorite place to be, anyway….

I am infrequently constrained by a lead but I don’t abuse the privilege either.

I like that the lead takes me places… I just wish I wasn’t attached to it while at those places… bol!
Hehe…where do you take your walkabouts? My Maggie used to do that when they lived in Colorado, but I’m not allowed.
We would LOVE to have a huge yard like you do, but we live in the city where the houses are right on top of each other, so we never go outside without being on a leash. It is for our safety from the cars and other doggies. We would love to run with you on your property for sure! Huggies, Nikita and Bella!
