A maremma in the strawberry patch

P1000379Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas.  Now as you all know it is spring time here in the sunny Mangamahu valley.  Mummy is busy in her garden.  She was out in the house garden doing some weeding.  She turned around and there was Me and Nellie in the strawberry beds.  Me and Nellie were indulging in some eating some sheep pellets tasty treats that she had left there for Us.  For some reason she was not very happy with Me and Nellie.  She yelled at Us.  Said something about being bad maremmas and take our huge paws out of her strawberry patch.  You will be glad to know that We totally ignored her.  Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremmas in all the land.

At least you didn’t dig a giant hole where the strawberry patch once was like I did! Woo!

Zak says that even though he and Zeus have little paws, they still cause problems if they stampede through my garden. They know they aren’t allowed in the garden but the temptation to get in there and stare through the fence at the chooks next door gets the better of them occasionally.

  3. Great ignoring, the behavioural term for that is putting the yelling behaviour on extinction. It is a very good technique. There is research to support its use. Good job! Lee and Phod

  4. ignoring is ALWAYS good!

Those tasty treats sound irresistible! You should package them and sell them to other doggies!
