Summer is all most here.

The first rasphberry of the season.

Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas.  As as you all know it is nearly summer here in sunny New Zealand.  Mummy has been busy in the garden, doing something called weeding.  She says she hates doing it but the end results are worth it.  Aunty says gardening is just doing housework outside and as loyal readers know mummy is not one of life little house-keepers.   She would much rather be out in the sunshine. playing in her garden than attacking the cob-webs in the hallway.  Here are some more photos mummy took this morning.

Blueberries. Not ripe yet.

I had been digging in mummy's garden. For some reason she does not appreciate my digging efforts. Says something about being a bad dog.

Go the All-Blacks.  They are playing France this morning (New Zealand time) and no doubt daddy and brother will be watching the game.

Also, good luck to brother and sister and boyfriend as they start their external school examinations tomorrow.  Sister and the boyfriend are sitting level 1 English and brother is sitting Scholarship, Statistics.  Me and Nellie do not know what this statistics are, but mummy says We would not be interested in it because there are not any tasty treats involved. Sister has been studying very hard.  She is almost as focused as Me and Nellie are when daddy is in the kitchen and there is the hint of a tasty treat.  Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremmas in all the land.

See how focused Me and Nellie can be.

We’ve started growing our “winter” vegetables. Kohl rabi, radishes, kale and we’re still getting eggplants and peppers. It may freeze here, but not for long or too cold.

  7. Good luck to all the test-takers. Once I took a test at obedience school. I passed, but it was tough. I even had to sit 30 feet away from Mom. I don’t like being so far away from her…. You should try digging with your PAWS instead of your FACE, J. You could stay cleaner that way.

    Love and licks,
