Bad sheep

What was left of mummy's sweet corn.

What was left of mummy’s plants

Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas. This morning mummy went out to the house garden to pick some fresh fennel for those pesky rabbits and what sight greeted her when she went through the gate. Why those very bad sheep had somehow got into her garden and destroyed it. You should have heard the language directed at those sheep. Me and Nellie haven’t such words spoken since the last time S.O.D paid Us a visit.  For once it wasn’t not Me and Nellie in the firing line.

What remains of the sweet corn.

What remains of the sweet corn.

Strawberries gone!!

Strawberries gone!!

Mummy says this set her garden back weeks.  She is very sad about it.  The gate to the house garden from the paddock must have blown open in the strong wind and the sheep took advantage of it.  She is very sad.   But don’t worry loyal readers, Me and Nellie will cheer mummy up.  Love Nellie and Jasper the bestest maremmas in all the land.

Sorry about your mums garden, I guess it’s every man, sheep and dog for themselves in that valley. I’m sure you’ll do a lovely job of cheering her up too.

  12. You need ME to come and herd those sheep away! They don’t call me a Shetland SHEEPDOG for nothin! Barks and licks and love, Dakota

    Happy fourth Birthday Jasper!!

My sis Pip and I are so sorry about your mum’s garden. Hopefully, with the warmer spring weather everything will grow back bigger and better soon. Pippie says she wishes she could have been there, she is a Border Collie and she would have shown those naughty sheep the gate before they could have done any damage.

Anyway, I hope it won’t put a damper on your birthday celebrations today. Have a great day with all the special treats and love and attention you and of course Nellie so much deserve!

    Love,

Ninnie, the very bestest Maremma in the Queen’s land.

  14. What naughty sheep! So sorry for the loss of your garden. 😦 If you need to borrow Leia, she is pretty good at showing sheep who is boss.
