Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas. Yesterday, mummy took sister and boyfriend (yes, he is still around) over to Vinager Hill, near Hunterville to go camping with friends. She thought about taking Me and Nellie along for the ride, but decided against it because the road is narrow and windy and given our chronic car sickness, it would not have been a pleasant journey. On the way home mummy got a bit lost and took the wrong turn. She was very annoyed with herself.
Hunterville is well known for its statue of the Hunterway dog. Hunterways are a breed of dog used by New Zealand farmers to herd sheep. Mummy says while Me and Nellie might be sheep dogs We are not very good at looking after sheep. We keep on being naughty and try to chase them around the paddock. Me and Nellie like to think that We are giving the sheep much needed exercise. After all We wouldn’t like to see fat sheep, now would we.
Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremmas in all the land. Soon it will be our dinner time.
