Peace and Quiet

P1030094Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas. Mummy has been telling Me and Nellie that some of our bloggie friends are living through some very nasty snow storms in the Northern Hemisphere While, Me and Nellie have only been in snow once and We did not like it one little bit, Me and Nellie hope that you are all keeping warm, snoozing in front of the fire or heater. It is hard for Me and Nellie to imagine cold and wet weather because, as usual it is sunny and warm here in the Mangamahu valley.

Now that all the pawty guests have gone home (including the boyfriend) it is lovely and peaceful here at Chez Jasper.  Mummy is pottering around in the garden, brother is playing on his computer, sister is resting and reading a book and daddy is watching the cricket.  New Zealand is playing the West Indies and there is a chance that New Zealand could win.  Mummy says daddy is being an eternal optimist as it is well known that the New Zealand cricket team (called the Black Caps) are very good at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory and it ain’t over until the fat lady signs.  Whatever this means.

Off Me and Nellie go.  Farmer Rae is moving his cows in the next door paddock and We must be here at the fence to bark supervise him. Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremmas in all the land.

Yes it is very cold and snowy here. Our doggy feet were having so much trouble today that Mom is going to get us boots so we can take a walk tomorrow. It looks like you are having a lovely summer. You both look so pretty against the green landscape. Happy 2014 – DogDaz

Happy Newwoooowooooo Year Jasper and Nellie! Wuv, Ku and Nalle, who wish we had snow here!

  3. Have a great time woofing and snoopaw-vising the Moo Moos. Have a super Saturday.
    Best wishes Molly

  4. A little snow can be fun. But yesterday, it was deep enough to touch my belly. That scares me. I walked (hopped) around a little and then Mom had to carry me home.

    Love and licks,

We have about 18″ of snow on the ground right now and last night we had a record low of -6 deg. F (-21C)! We only ran out to do our business and ran back real quick. Your pictures are so warming. Thanks!

Fresh veggies from the garden! Our garden is dormant and the stuff in the stores from Mexico isn’t great. Planting season in about a month.

  8. Fresh tomatoes – yummy! All dogs outdoors today as much as possible – in between Arctic fronts. Sun today…or there was. Even so mild temps ending shortly. Everyone out while you can. (great day to dig holes…but wish they wouldn’t)

  9. We are some of those living through the nasty snowstorms. Have another heading our way tonight. May we come and stay with you? Barks and licks and love, Dakota

We don’t have snow yet but it is suppose to get really cold here! We’re hoping we get snow so we can play in it!

  11. It has gotten a little warmer here but now more snow is coming. Another 20 cm, we have already had like 45 cm. We love seeing grass on your blog! Lee and Phod

  12. Coccolino says:

Your pictures are so pretty, they are almost shaking the snow off us!

  13. Misaki says:

Lovely pic of the two of you at the end there:-)

  14. We can feel the warmth looking at your photos. It has been very cold here where Tucker, Lilah and our very own Jasper love romping in the snow.

Sounds like you are having a lovely time. Brown dawgs like snow, but this cold is too much even for them.

  16. Mags Corner says:

You two look so comfy on that pretty green grass. All the green grass is gone here and it is cold and icy. Enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Hugs and nose kisses
