A Walk in the sunshine

Me and Nellie in the sunshine

Me and Nellie in the sunshine

Greetings loyal readers and fellow maremmas. Now, while you were all out digging for dinosaurs, I was out doing something that I haven’t done for a long while. It was a lovely warm sunny Mangamahu afternoon. The temperature was 21 C,which translates to 69.8 fahrenheit. Not bad for the 8th day of winter in New Zealand. Mummy is on her own anti whale regime so she has been out walking and she thought it would be a good idea if I joined her. Now as loyal readers know Me and Nellie are not often taken out for walks. Mummy says We get enough exercise rushing around the property barking and something about being bad on the lead.  Unfortunately, mummy didn’t take any photos of my walking.  She says she was too busy keeping Me under control and stopping her arm from being ripped out of its socket.

One thing I could not understand was why cars went past Me and did not stop to admire Me and give Me the love and attention that I so richly deserve, being the handsomest, bestest maremma in all the land.  It was most perplexing.

After my walk I was so tired I had to have a little nap.

If you look very carefully you can see a peacock in the distance.

While Me and Mummy were out walking, sister took a photo of Nellie being her usual cute and adorable self.

  3. That is very rude of the cars to pass by without giving you the admiration you so richly deserve. I hope you told them off – loud and clear.

Walks are pawesome. I too do not understand why the people do not stop more often to admire the perfectness that is Us, the Dogs. They are clearly uneducated.

Hi Jasper and Nellie, are you okay? We miss you! Hopefully the two of you are just too busy chasing rabbits or something to have time to blog!

Love from Ninnie, who is this morning the coldest Maremma in the frosty Queen’s Land.
