Signs of Spring

The first of the asparagrus are popping up.

Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas.  Even though it still the middle of winter here in the sunny Mangamahu valley, things are beginning to stir in mummy’s garden.  However, it is still very cold at night which means Me and Nellie are inside, nice and warm, snoozing in front of the fire.

    Our asparagus start popping up a little earlier (right after New Year’s Day which would be about July 1 for you).

  12. Goodness! The only flowers we have in mid-winter are ones we pick up at the florist’s shop! We have lots in the garden and through the forest right now though. Yours are much more elegant than ours, I must say.
