Found on Facebook

maremmamaremma sitmaremma hairGreeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas.  Mummy found these on a place called Facebook.  Me  and Nellie do not know of this Facebook place, but mummy says it is a good way to keep in contact with friends and family.

See how much I care

See how much I care

As you all know mummy likes to take Me and Nellie for a daily walk, time and weather permitting.  And as you all know, Me and Nellie are the bestest maremmas in all the land, so it may come as a surprise to loyal readers that sometimes mummy is not pleased with Me and Nellie when We are out on our walks, something about “Trying the patience of a saint” with our antics. Me and Nellie have no idea what mummy is talking about.  It is not our fault that We like to sniff all those interesting country smells and if this means dragging mummy from one side of the road to another, then so be it.   There are peacocks and rabbits to pursue.  I like to indulge in my habit of car chasing, so every time a vehicle goes past Us, mummy has to hold on tightly to my lead and collar to make sure I don’t run after the car. Sometimes, she says it is very hard to control a 50 kg dog as well as Nellie.  Who cares because Me and Nellie don’t.

  1. Tell your Mummy those made our Mummy laugh out loud! Our Mummy understands your Mummy’s frustration because she used to walk 3 Samoyed who loved to enjoyed everything like you two. Hope you enjoyed your lovely brekkie!

  2. Misaki says:

Hahaha! I don’t think any of your ‘antics’ are unreasonable, chasing peacocks adds the fun factor to any walk 🙂

  6. We think it is great that you help you mum stay in shape and do strength training. We think it is very helpful and kind to be so concerned about her health.

  7. Cupcake says:

Ha! We LOVE that poster of Maremma Tricks! OMGoodness – that is naughty for sure. When I first came here, I was also a car chaser. After Mom took me to school, I stopped chasing cars. I also learned not to zigzag when we’re walking. Mom swore I was trying to kill her before I graduated from school.

    Love and licks,

  8. We think us Scotties may be related to you Maremmas!!

  10. It is the time of year for good smells! (and retreads for walking shoes due to the rapidly wearing out of soles – or souls, if some doggies have don’t have the patience of saints)
