Pukeko on a Fence

Me, the handsome dog.

Me, the handsome dog.

Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas. Now, this afternoon mummy was outside hanging some washing on the clothes line, when she glanced over and saw a blue bird sitting on the fence.  Needless. to say she was rather surprised to say the least.  Somehow she managed to get back to the house, grab the camera, which for once was in an easily assessable place, with a charged battery in it and a memory card that was not nearly chocka full and got back to find the bird still there.  Now, mummy’s knowledge of ornithology can be written on the head of a pin, but even she could see that it was a pukeko

P1050078P1050071P1050077The pukeko seemed to be dancing on top of the fence, bur for some reason he flew away when he saw Me and Nellie.  Mummy says, she does not want a pukeko to visit her garden.  She says they can be very destructive and pull out newly planted seedlings.  She says she has enough trouble with Me and Nellie rampaging through her garden as it is.  Me and Nellie have no idea what she is talking about.  After all, are We not the bestest maremmas in all the land.  Love Nellie and Jasper.
