Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas.  Now, as you all know, it is Summer here in New Zealand and for the first time in ages the weather has been nice for more than two days in a row.  So, mummy got out this afternoon and took some photos of the garden bathed in the late afternoon sunshine.

Where is the maremma?

We hope you like the photos.  Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest mareemas in all the land.

  1. That is a beautiful sunny day to show off the beauty of the flowers. AND the beauty of the doggies!

    Love and licks,

  2. it’s great to enjoy some sun via your blog… we sadly only have ice flowers on our windows…. hope that mean Mr. Winter gives up soon :o)

We have some of the same flowers in our garden.

  4. Yes, we love the pictures. Mom says maybe we could move from summer to summer around the world. (She is not a fan of the cold.) Thanks for sharing, it helps.

  5. Kismet says:

It sounds like you have weird weather also. We have it because of El Niño.

Love, love, love the photos! It is sooooooo cold here (Las Vegas, NV) we can’t stand it! Did I see Canna Lillies? OMG, just two more months and we will be warm again.

Our Canna Lillies have never grown!! BUT we have a variegated one that has chocolate coloured flowers that is going made in the garden! Afree about the weather. In our crner of the Hutt Valley all the raised beds are going made with all the rain and then sunny days. Let’s hope the pumpkins don’t take over!!

    • Mummy says she lived in the Hutt Valley, whereever that is, for 20 years and she knows all about the weather there. She says it is much nicer here, in the sunny Mangamahu valley, except for the amount of wind lately. Just like Wellington.

  12. What a beautiful day to be outside. So happy to hear you were able to get out there and enjoy it.

  13. We loved the pictures, Jasper and Nellie 🙂 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤

What beautiful photos of your garden! I wish I could trade this winter snow for those lovely red flowers and gorgeous green grass. 🙂

  16. I’m more than a little jealous. It looks beautiful there especially with a winter storm threatening our weekend.
