Bees Galore

Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas, Yesterday mummy and sister went into town and left Me and Nellie in the care of daddy. Upon their return, they noticed 4 jars of manuka honey on the kitchen bench.

A gentleman had visited us and ask if his company could put some hives on our property, like these ones.

IMG_2323In return, Queen & Country will give mummy and daddy lots of honey.  Mummy says she is very happy about this arrangement.  Bees are good for her garden.  Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremma in the land.

  1. That’s the perfect setup! Your garden gets busy bees, your humans get delicious honey, and somebody else takes care of the bees. Steer clear, J. Don’t go nosing around over there….. Those guys don’t need you snoopervising! Yikes!

There is a big bee problem in the USA. Something is killing off the bees and we need them for agriculture. Honey has so many wonderful properties. One of mom’s friends used honey as an antiseptic for her dogs. Good luck with the bees.

  7. What a fantastic arraignment! I’d be glad to help too and the honey is a very nice bonus. Thanks for helping out the struggling honey bees.

When I was hatched, my momma told me that she’d tell me about us birds and the bees but we got separated before she could tell me.

  10. Lucky you. We have too small a section for someone to be interested in locating hives on our property. I use honey as a sweetener in the frosting for our doggy birthday cakes.

  11. Oh, that sounds like a honey of a deal! I wouldn’t mind having some hives on our estate!

What a nice thing to do! All that lovely honey for you. We have plum trees too and inspite of the fact e took kgs and kgs off the tree for jam ‘n stuff the birds still got heaps and HEAPS. It is fun to watch them eat the fruit!

  19. How cool is that? Here in States, bees are in a scary situation. We need bees to help make the world go round!
