And the Rain Continues

“For the rain, it raineth every day”.

Act V, Scene I, Taming of the Shrew.

Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas.  Well it seems to be like this everyday for the next few days.  Rain, rain and more rain.  Now as you all know, rain = muddy dogs, which means muddy dogs are not allowed inside until they are dried off.  Do you think that is fair?  We three do not but as mummy is the final arbitrator upon such decision as who comes inside, we are condemned outside until further notice or until We dry out.  Just to show you how wet and muddy it has become out there, here are some photos mummy took this morning.IMG_6317

IMG_6318IMG_6322IMG_6323IMG_6320Now can you see why we are so muddy.  Not as muddy as Nellie is in this photo taken a few years ago.  We might have been down at Farmer Rae’s orchard indulging in a bit of rabbit hunting. p1040392

Off We go.  It is almost time for our morning dinner and We must be prepared.

Love the Three bestest maremmas in all the land.  P1040050

  1. Wow! You can send some of that rain to us! We really need it! (I always have to wonder why the humans dislike mud so much.)

The Scotties don’t want to go out in the rain. In Florida, if you wait a few minutes, the weather will change. They are patient.

  3. Cupcake says:

OMGoodness! Those mud pictures! I think this is a good time for all doggies to stay inside. That rain is crazy!

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  4. Kismet says:

It’s monsoon season here. You can get lightning, thunder, wind and/or torrential rains in any combination and permutation. Today we got heavy winds, lightening and thunder with NO rain.

  6. We need rain in our part of NC, but not like what you are having….it’s feast or famine. Mama carries me over the asphalt and cement to the grass…how embarrassing. She sez she doen’t want my pas getting burned….she can be a bit of a Helicopter Mom is what I’m thinking. Your pal Skyler

  7. We are desperate for rain but we only want the exact amount we need. Yes, we are that bad. Is your (in the summer) rain warm or cold? We would love to stand outside in a warm rain. We wouldn’t move for a long time.

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  8. I know the gras is always greener on the ‘next continent’ but boy oh boy…some of us would kill for rain. Enjoy it if you can, even the mud. 😉

  9. Tromping mud is great exercise – good for dogs stuck inside for too long. …stuck inside from heat and summer sun here…sprinklers just don’t make fine mud like you have. Have much joy…and then bath and naps!

Today (Tuesday) is fairly dry so far but yesterday it pounded down – real bounce off the road type rain. Still only 29 more days to the first day of Spring..
