Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas. Now as you all know We have sheep living here with us here at Chez Jasper. Well, imagine our surprise when daddy came home with a …..

A baby lamb

Now the decision to take a baby lamb, less that 24 hours old away from her mummy is not one that is taken lightly.  However,  this lamb was one of triplets, with one not surviving, one being very healthy and this one  being  rejected her mummy. So  daddy had to decided to bring her inside.  Also, while the sheep have access to shelter in to the wool shed,  the weather was deteriorating again so she might not have survived a night outside.

Lambie will need to be feed every four hours for the next few days so daddy is on food patrol tonight and mummy tomorrow morning.  Love the Three bestest maremmas in all the land.

What a kind and caring thing to do. That lamb is as cute as a button. I hope he can be house trained. Are you maremmas OK with him? Or are you locked up somewhere?

    Love and licks,

Are you certain that it isn’t a wolf in sheep’s clothing?

Looks like diapers are in order. I couldn’t help but cuddle the little girl (with a diaper on her) while I bottle fed her. I bet your Momma does that, three best Maremas.

  6. Awwww, too sweet. Paws crossed the accidents are few and the lambie thrives. 🐏

  7. I’ve never seen a baby lamb as small as that before! Did it drink that entire bottle of milk? Are you doggies going to help take care of it too? Please keep us updated. Your friend Chester

  9. Lady just learned last year when she was in Iceland that sheep usually have twins. We think it is great that you are giving this lamb a chance at life.

Reblogged this on The Woolshed Wargamer and commented:
How can I use this in Kings of War. A giant beast for a Forces of Nature army?

  11. What a cute lil’ bugger! Is it true what Easy said? Is little lamby a treat dispenser? ~ Wags and woofs, Kona
