Happy Anniversary to Itai

img_6755Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas. It has been six months now since Itai joined Us all here at Chez Jasper.  Doesn’t time fly.   During his time here, he as learnt many new things.  Me and Nellie are such good teachers.

He has learnt:

  • The chicken coop is a source of takeaways for maremmas.  Such is Itai’s interest in the chicken food, mummy often asks him if he thinks he is a chicken.
  • He has learnt the meaning of the word “off” as said by daddy when he discovers Itai having a peaceful snooze on the couch, bed or window seat.
  • He has learnt to sit when daddy appears with tasty treats.  His tail hits the floor almost as quickly as Me and Nellie’s does.
  • He has learnt how to jump over the cattle stop (cattle grid) in order to join Me and Nellie cavorting in the paddocks.
  • He has learnt how to put his paws on the kitchen bench to see if there are any tasty treats on the bench.  However, since that unfortunate disappearance of four steaks and a quiche, any kind of food doesn’t seem to be left on benches or tables for any passing maremma to help themselves.

So happy anniversary to our friend Itai.  Love Nellie and Jasper

With the use of the word “anniversary” I thought someone got married and I didn’t know about it.

    Hey Jasper,

I am happy to be able to tell you that, in spite of our scribe’s best efforts to censor your last post, he wasn’t quick enough and my sis Pip and I got to read it all– thanks for those great tips!

We are very happy for Itai to have found such a good home and we think it’s wonderful of you and Nellie to have made him so welcome.

And we love all those those Maremma photos, Maremmas rock, and so do all other doggies!

Bye from Ninnie in the Queen’s Land.

Itai sure has learned a lot from the two of you! Couch sitting is an important lesson and so is jumping the grid to cavort in the paddocks. Well done. Happy half-gotcha day, Itai.

    Love and licks,

Well I have to say that Itai is the nicest dog I have had in a long time. He is a real barker though I am not sure he really knows what he is barking at half the time. Like he barks to earn his keep – what at doesn’t seem to matter. It’s a maremma thing:)

  8. Happy anniversary, Itai. Here’s to more progress for the next one.

As your past mummy I am so glad you have a wonderful new home. You know I would never have parted with you if I did not know you would have a wonderful life with Jasper and Nellie, but it was the nasty dog control person that made me have to part with you. I still miss you as you are one of the most gentle of boys. I will come and visit you very soon, but don’t worry, I wont take you away from your new home as I know how much they love you and how wonderful they are to you. All your mates here at Balagan Kennels do miss you and send their licks and smooches. Love you past Mum.
