What you can find…..

Greeting loyal readers and fellow maremmas. This morning mummy was out in the garden picking out self seeded ivy plants from underneath a row of hedging trees. She looked up and what did she spy but a bird house that she had never noticed before.

The very used bird house.

Mummy says we will have to place it somewhere so it can be used again.

Now, as you all might remember mummy’s uncle has been in a retirement home for the last six months and now the family have been sorting out his home.  Mummy has been coming home with all sort of treasures junk.

See a chamber pot with a Pelargonium. The chamber pot came from uncle’s house.

Another chamber pot, this time with a cyclamen plant

Mummy is a swimmer,  she tries to swim 1km two or three times a week at our local pool.  Sister has been back for  the university holidays working at the Marton pool as Head Life Guard.    The pool is run by a gentleman who is a member of New Zealand Olympic Swim coach team and he has offered  mummy swim lessons (in exchange for her wonderful lemon loaf cake).  So. mummy has to be at Marton pool at 7:30 am on Tuesday morning. 40 minutes away!!

Why anyone would want to immerse themselves in water is beyond the ken of this dog but hey what would we know.Love three bestest mareemas in all the the land.

  1. that’s nice to bring the berd house to a place where the berds can use it ;O)) I love the idea with the chamber pots, that is very cute!!!!

  2. Kismet says:

I could live in that house.

  3. Sam would agree with you on the water thing. I, on the other hand would love to be able to swim more. ope your mum has fun and you guys can R&R under a tree till she gets back. 🏊🏼‍♀️

I would prefer the lemon loaf cake over getting up early to swim, but that’s great that your Mummy wants to swim regularly!!

What beautiful green trees and bushes you have. Everything’s all the browns and grays of winter here. I bet if we put up a few birdie houses this spring, the local birdies would be so happy! Dad used to be a swimmer a long, long, long time ago when he was in school. I like to play in the bath tub, but that’s about it for me!

  6. Apparently swimming is fun. Mom goes a few times a week in the summer to the pool outside our apartment. I’m as confused about it as you are. Dogs are not allowed in the courtyard and pool area and that is just FINE with me!

    Love and licks,
