R I P Jasper

Greetings loyal readers. It is with a heavy heart that I have to let Blogville know that overnight Jasper crossed over the Rainbow bridge. We are all devastated. Nellie and Itai are very subdued. They know something is not right in their world. He was eight years old and kept the best of health until this. He was a good dog and was very much loved by his family.

Jasper, you go and sort out the many dogs at the rainbow bridge. We will find you when we too cross over. You have been a source of inspiration over the years on earth and will continue to rule in heaven. From all the Maremmas of Balagan Kennels.

Dear Liz and family, including of course Nellie and Itai,

I have been thinking of you and Jasper every day since his passing and I am still so sad for you all that you lost Jasper at only eight years of age. I was looking forward to reading about his capers and seeing his photos on Jaspersdoggyworld for years to come. Jasper’s blog has been such a delight to follow from the start and I always eagerly anticipated the next post. I think it’s nice that you buried him in your front lawn, a worthy last resting place for your wonderful dog.

Once again, my sympathies and best wishes,

    Rolf, Ninnie’s scribe.

My heart goes out to you. I understand that there was no time to even try to prepare for this devastating loss – not that we are ever ready. May God be with you and comfort you each day.

I just saw this and am so very sorry. I love reading about the Maremmas and all their adventures. I live in NJ so very different here. My two lab mixes also send their sincere condolences. N.

  26. So very sorry. This is such a loss, there are no words to fill the silence left.
We just lost 13+ yr old The German. Right now her understudy, Ella, is staying with us and Molly Malamute as Ella knows something was wrong and needed a doggy pack friend instead of being in a quiet house all alone during the day.
May peace and comfort find you and yours
